The Mountain out there..

It's been a while since my relatives planned this trip to baguio.. and finally, as in, it happened. last October we went up baguio for a 3-days and 2-nights vacation. It was my first time up there but yeah, it didn't feel quite as exciting as i was hoping it would be..

Some photos I took at Wright Park..

Mines View..

Douglas.. I think he's the biggest St. Bernard there.. anyway, the owner kept on yelling 'papicture na kayo kay Douglas, the celebrity dog, biggest St. Bernard'.. right. he may be the biggest but the owner was so into his dog that he makes money out of it and he doesn't even know how to handle a camera.. talk about SLRs on auto..

anyway, here's a photo of Me, Mom and Sis at minesview.

Then we'd go SM to eat.. It was actually the first time in my life that I had to eat restaurant food for two whole days.. talk about not cooking.. it's just.. anyway, here're some shots from SM Baguio..

Too bad I was so hungry that I forgot to take photos of the food. hehe :3

I forgot what this soup is called..

The University of the Cordilleras..

Has a nice ring to it.. [UC] doesn't it? :3

Somewhere in[technically it's outside..] SM

My Travel buddies!! xD

Then we went to PMA.. Sm again.. then the Cathedral.. then SM again.. and so many more places.

I won't talk about the rest anymore.. but yeah.. going baguio was one helluva trip~ ;]
We were lucky enough since there weren't so much people atop baguio when we went there.. tho' we had a little misadventures since our 'tour guide' gets lost within the busy streets.. hahaha

*'til my next post ;)

a 'feeling blogger''s dilemma..

I'm not really into blogging.. It just so happened that I don't know where to organize my life story so I made this one up. but then again, I ended up not touching my blog. haha. Well, I'm a person of few words after all. :]

so to kick-off a new start.. or rather continue with what's been left behind for far too long, I'll be placing things I do, and stuff that revolve around me.

Gasha stuff

Oh well, papel.. I'm bored ahehehe so I decided to review this little figure/candy toy/gashapon.

It is named for the Angel of the Skies (空の天使 Sora no Tenshi). In Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, It has undergone a massive redesign with various stages. It starts out in space as a giant ball with eyes similar to Leliel. Then when it is about to land, it begins to resemble its anime counterpart, only this version is larger and has sharp spikes trailing it. When Shinji uses EVA-01's A.T. Field to stop its descent, a body resembling Sachiel comes out of the central eye and attacks Shinji. Its core is also movable and avoids attacks from EVA-02 until Rei in EVA-00 is able to physically grab hold of it and stop it (greatly hurting herself in the process). When defeated, Sahaquiel explodes into a massive geyser of blood and floods a great portion of the city. Sahaquiel is designated as the 8th Angel in Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. *From Wikipedia

on with the.. toy/figure.. It's rather small almost the same size of those 1/400 Gundam figures.. it's clear with black lines and different colors [similar to that of a rainbow]

It comes with a stand which has '8th angel' engraved onto it.

Got my camera back!!

A friend and I had a deal over some GunPla stuff. the Deal was like this.. He pays for roughly 60-70% of the total cost and in turn I lend him my camera. :))

Anyway, the deal was supposed to be until saturday but due to unexpected events he returned it tom me today. :)

and now to commemorate the return of my camera, I took some shots of my Loot-for-Today :))

Here it is a candy toy (that's what they call it) from the Rebuild of Evangelion Series: the 8th angel, Sahaquiel

Heal the world.. :))

ahh.. NOSTALGIA.. :))

Michael Jackson - Heal the world

Back in highschool we did a number for this song. It was a competition thingy. where classes from every batch compete in either a play or a song. our batch had to perform this song and another song of our choice related to ecology blah-blah-blah. after a lot of tedious after-school-hours-practice sessions. all our hard work paid off 'coz we won.

GNT-0000

I got to finish this baby a while ago. :)

It's setsuna's final MS!! *drum roll*

THE 00 Qan-[T]!! (Double-Oh Quanta)

The most powerful MS out there yet IMO. This kit is molded into 5 different colors mainly blue, white, gray, clear green and red. The kits comes with four runners(one for the stand), the manual, a sticker sheet and a set of polycaps. :)

So now, let's get on with this Kit.

Head - Your standard SD head 00Q version. it comes with clear green parts for the condensers on the sides of the head. no gimmicks at all.

Torso - Faithful to the design.. it has a removable GN Drive, GN condensers are clear green and have 00Q embedded onto it. needs some painting but looks quite as nice even without the paint.

Waist & legs - All white. has articulation just like those of the new HG00 series kits. the legs are molded in white while the feet are red.

Arms - the 00q is known for it's unique design and lack of symmetry.. which is faithfully reproduced by bandai in this kit. one thing i dont like here is that the shoulders are quite bulky instead of being sexy just like how the 00q should be >.<
The shoulders are all blue while the arms are all white and the hands are grey. they have nice details but need a lot of painting. :)

(lol blard[blurred])

Weapons and accessories:
GN Sword V - Molded in gray, blue and clear green. can shift from rifle mode to sword mode and vice-versa. It can also switch blades so thatyou can attach the sword bits to recreate he buster sword/rifle.
GN Sword Bits - Molded in clear green. needs painting..
GN Shield - houses the GN Drive part which connects to the oher GN Drive on the back for the Quantum burst mode gimmick. molded in all blue. needs a lot of painting.
Stand - clear green much like the sinanju's

Completed kit:

Pros and Cons:

+Good Details
+Good Gimmicks
+decent articulation

-loose arms
-loose shoulders
-many more loose joints :))

Rating: 7/10
Recommendation: it's nice. get it if you like it. :)

Lightpainting Tutorial.

Hey Peeps! :)

I would like to share something I learned from my Master!! I'm a frustrated-feeling-photographer-kahit-di-naman -talaga.. xD

It's.. It's MATH Light Painting!! :D

Light painting, also known as light drawing or light graffiti is a photographic technique in which exposures are made usually at night or in a darkened room by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera. In many cases the light source itself does not have to appear in the image. The term light painting also encompasses images lit from outside the frame with hand-held light sources. *from wiki :)

In short, you set your camera's shutter speed to its slowest, place the camera on stable ground (I use a tripod) then play with any handheld light(here, I use a penlight) source XD *I use colored translucent paper to give color for the lights. :)

something like these. :)

MSN-06S

I finished this kit just about two weeks ago..

it's the BB MSN-06S Sinanju

Image from GundamGuy.

this kit requires a lot of paint jobs but it looks quite as cool as it its even without the paint. it comes with three runners and two sets of polycaps, one big stciker sheet and a few decals to pump up it's look out of the box.

anyway, let's get on with this kit.

Head - This is the part where the kit sells. It's mono-eye gimick is faithfully reproduced by bandai.

Here, I painted the mono-eye gray all around and clear green on top. why? because the camera part is only a clear yellow piece of plastic.

I also painted the vulcans gray because theye were red to begin with then I painted the mono-eye metallic green so that when light hits the surface it would shine and give it that glowing effect.

Torso - your standard Sinanju torso.. It is made up of the torso and the back pack. lots of painting needed. *cough* golden trims *cough*, the collar and the cable  as well.

Waist - The whole of Sinanju's waist molded in red and black plastic.. lots of painting needed especially for the trims, the verniers and the cables.

Legs & Feet- An advancement to the long running BB/SD series. these legs are quite detailed for something so compact and having no gimmicks aside from ankle articulation ONLY. the trims are there, the trusters are there, everything is included except for the fact that they need some painting
The feet are nice. the have a decent amount of articulation. somewhat surprising since some SD/BB kits with legs have awful amount of ankle articulation and what's good here is the feet are molded in the right colors. no more paintjob needed.

Arms - Quite the nice mold. Details are molded perfectly though it's quite troublesome to be painted. Painting gives it's look a boost[better than being plain at all].

Thrusters and Fuel Tanks - molded in gray and red plastic. nice details, decent articulation tho' it's hindered by the head at times. the fuel tanks are molded in white plastic. needs some painting.

Weapons and Accessories:
Beam Saber - comes as one clear yellow piece of plastic. a beam saber molded with a bent beam much like that of the BB Unicorn Gundam. I painted the handle Red.
Shield - Molded in red plastic.. decent details and all but needs quite the paintjob.
Rifle - Sniper Rifle-esque. nice details
Grenade launcher - looks like a small pistol. can be placed under the sheild or under the rifle.
Beam Axe - comes in two pieces. perfectly molded. comes with beam effect parts as well.

Completed..

Pros and cons:

+nice details
+good gimmicks
+decent articulation
+comes with a clear red stand

-troublesome painjob required[can be covered by stickers though]
-arms fall off often
-no elbow articulation

Rating: 8.5/10
Recommendation: Go for it if you want it. Ü
